June is Men's Health Month

June is Men's Health Month

Men’s Health Month is here—a dedicated time to spotlight the health risks men face and how many of them can be prevented. The goal? Raise awareness, encourage early detection, and promote healthier lifestyles for men and boys everywhere.
Did you know that, on average, men live nearly five years less than women? According to the CDC, men die at higher rates from 9 of the top 10 causes of death and make up over 92%of workplace fatalities. These aren’t just statistics—they’re a call to action.

The Men’s Health Resource Center notes that many men skip regular doctor visits, avoid preventive care, and often take more health risks. That’s why Men’s Health Month exists—to encourage men to take control of their health, get checkups, and prioritize wellness before problems arise.

If you’re a man—take this month as your reminder to prioritize your health. If you care about a man—encourage him to take action.
